Grade 10: – “Basa, Bayan, Bukas: a digital photography contest”
The Contest aims to showcase the HFA student’s creativity and artistic talents and express their own interpretation of this year’s theme “Basa. Bayan. Bukas” through their photography techniques.
Guidelines and Mechanics:
- The contest is open to all bona fide HFA Grade 10 students.
- There must be one representative for each class.
- All prospective contestants (only one entry per section) shall complete the provided online registration form for proper monitoring/supervision on the conduct of the contest.

- Photos taken can be of people, places, projects, that tell a story related to the celebration’s theme “BASA. BAYAN. BUKAS.”.
- Images must be original and taken personally by the participant with no modification or enhancement made in anyway.
- Submitted Photos must be in high resolution, and in a portrait or landscape orientation.
- Add a caption, of no more than 10 sentences to explain the photo.
- Entries must not contain malicious and offensive content.
- The artist retains the copyright of their work.
- Entry should be submitted in the IMC websites on or before December 7, 2022, 5:00pm. No entries will be accepted after the deadline. Concerned Library personnel shall duly acknowledge receipt of all entries received/submitted.
- Each entry shall follow the following format:
- LastName_FirstName_MiddleInitial Digital Photo
- DELACRUZ_JUAN_P_Digital Photo.
- Submission of entry will mean that you agreed that HFA IMC have the right to use, and reuse, publish and republish entries in whole and in part, individually or in conjunction with print matter, or in composite form and in any medium, for editorial, commercial, promotion of the IMC.
- IMC personnel will have the right to disqualify any entries that they deem to be obscene, vulgar, sexually explicit, lewd, derogatory, inappropriate, and not meeting the above requirements.
- All winning entries will be posted in the social media accounts of HFA Instructional Media Center (e.g., fb, website, etc.)
- Announcements of winners will be on December 9, 2022 (Friday).
- The judges’ decisions are final and irrevocable.
Criteria for Judging
The criteria for judging will be as follows:
Originality
The photo must be completely unedited and must be an original work taken by the participant.

Relevance to the Theme
Participants must be able to depict their ideas in a picture.

Pictorial Design
and Composition
Participants must be capable of adhering to the specified photo parameters and incorporating their personal photography style.

Artistic Expression
The audience is moved and inspired by the creative quality of the photographs and the caption.

Image Quality
Participants must be able to adhere to the specified photo for the size and quality requirements.

AWARD
There will be three (3) winners of this contest and they will receive the following:
● 1st Prize – P500.00 and an E- Certificate of Recognition
● 2nd Prize – P300.00 and an E- Certificate of Recognition
● 3rd Prize – P200.00 and an E-Certificate of Recognition
