Title
The Effects of Different Study Habits on Familians
Abstract
The use of a variety of study habits have been consistently on the rise in response to the changes made in the education system. Such is the case due to various studies and/or propositions that point to study habits as one of the main factors responsible for a student's academic performance. In line with this, other factors have also been found to be interconnected with the concept being studied. Among these, learning style, personality, and learning theories have a direct impact on one's study habits.
in an effort to understand a student's study habits, particularly grade 9 students from Holy Family Academy, the researchers employed the use of simple random probability sampling in selecting five respondents from the sample for this qualitative-descriptive research. As such, personal interviews were conducted followed by distributed questionnaires in gathering the data. Data gathered were analyzed and interpreted through the use of thematic analysis. The most emergent themes are: study habits are based on the student's preference and that they continue to do them because these study habits are where they are most confident.
