Title
The Development of an Arduino Uno Solar-Powered Heat Detection Fan with Use of Tinkercad Simulation Program
Abstract
The Development of an Arduino Uno Solar-Powered Heat Detection Fan introduces an efficient and effective way towards more sustainable cooling solutions with the integration of technology, automation, and solar energy. This fan system utilizes the Arduino Uno, Tinkercad, temperature sensors, and a solar panel that can adapt to ambient temperature changes. The experimental testing of the fan system was focused on its capabilities in detecting ambient temperature and adapting its fan speed level in correspondence while also testing how efficient the solar panel is in generating energy. In this study, different tests and experimentation were conducted, wherein it resulted in the solar panel being most effective during morning conditions. It generated a voltage that averaged from 7.774 volts with a current of 0.04 amperes. In comparison with afternoon conditions, a significant drop was highlighted with the voltage output averaging to 5.29 volts and its current level of 0.02 amperes. With the use of an independent t-test analysis, a statistically significant difference was found between generating solar energy during morning and afternoon (p-value of 1.51 x10% and 0.0 for current (p<0.05)). The fan system was able to last for an hour and two (2) minutes, being most lengthy operation (during morning time periods). The Arduino fan also proved to be effective at detecting ambient temperature changes and adapting its fan speed level accordingly based on the users' evaluation. An average of 5 (strongly agree) was also concluded from an expert evaluation on the fan's functionality, demonstrating a continuous and effective operation in ability to track temperature changes. The Arduino fan also ranked second (2,184 pesos) as an affordable option compared to commercial fans, which the Arduino fan could be an investment for both companies and consumers in economic, environmental, and lifestyle beneficial purposes. The results and findings have concluded that the Arduino Uno Solar-Powered Heat Detection Fan can be a cheaper and more environmentally friendly alternative to commercial cooling systems.
