The Connection Between Internet Usage and the Student's Academic Performance
Abstract
The main problems of the research is that most of the respondents were using the internet mainly for their entertainment purposes. By this information, the researchers may conclude that the internet is not used efficiently. The research design used was experimental design because the researchers needed to test all the factors thus maintaining control. The researchers think that the respondents were very honest in answering the questionnaire because the questionnaires were properly filled. The total number of respondents were 149. The results of the study show that the internet does not greatly affect the academic performance of the student. The hypotheses that was rejected was that the internet would greatly affect the academic performance of the student. The accepted hypotheses was that the internet was mainly used for entertainment purposes.
