Title
The Cleanliness of Drinking water in Refilling Stations in Different Barangays of Angeles City
Abstract
The study aims to evaluate the cleanliness, which is defined as the state of being Sree| from germs and the process of achieving and maintaining that state, and to determine if there is a presence of bacteria, specifically 1, Coli in the two refilling stations found in Angeles City, which may help in Knowing if the product from the refilling stations paved the Philippine National Standard for Drinking Water (PNSDW) set by the Department ofHealth; hence, an investigatory study was conducted in Angeles City to know if drinking water from the refilling stations are safe for people to drink. Using Simple Random Sampling two out of the 21 barangays in Angeles City are chosen. The two participating barangays are the Brgy. Sto. Domingo, and Brgy. San Jose. Each of these two barangays comprises 1 refilling station that will be included to the study in 3 weeks. Then, each week, a single water sample will be obtained from each refilling station and be labeled to represent each station. Each sample will undergo a process called“Thermotolerant / E.Coli Testing,” through Multiple Tube Fermentation Techni in F.A.S.T Laboratories, Magalang Road Pandan Angeles City, Pampanga. The findings of the research revealed that the two refilling stations showed a consistent data of a less than 1,1 of Total Coliform Count and Thermotolerant (Fecal) Coliform Count which means the product of the two refilling stations were negative from bacteria specifically E. Coliand they passed the Philippine National Standard for Drinking Water (PNSWD)mandated by the Department of Health.
