Perception of Students Regarding Multiple Choice Tests
Abstract
Multiple Choice (MC) type of test is increasingly becoming the most popular that is frequently used for educational testing. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) are widely known across the globe. Majority of the subjects mostly contains multiple choice questions, which led to view the opinions of students and teachers towards open-ended and multiple choice questions. All high school students in Holy Family Academy (HFA) experience multiple choice as the usual type of test used. This study will determine whether the students will study for their examinations or they will rely on a multiple choice type of test. The current study aims to determine the perception of students regarding multiple choice tests. This research follows a descriptive type of quantitative research and the research instrument was given by the research adviser of the researchers. The respondents are the Grade 9 Students of HFA. Based on the findings, the current study proved that majority of the students have positive perception regarding multiple choice tests. In contrary, it was also proven that students have negative perception regarding multiple choice tests.
