A Descriptive Analysis of the Perspectives of Ten Grade 11 Students Towards the Utilization of Learning Management System in a Domestic Setting
Abstract
As innovations are progressively produced within the domain of technology, innovative enhancements in the field of our personal experiences have been brought about as well, especially in the context of education. Employing hardware equipment such as laptops, mobile phones, and personal computers has been the norm in what many regards as the integration of technology within the context of instruction. But a key factor of these systems is often underrated, and it is that software that enables visual interaction with the user is usually deprioritized. This study now then exhibits the perspective of ten grade 11 students towards utilizing e-Learning software specifically Learning Management System(LMS) at home. It was through the semi-structured interviews of this paper that various results have been collated. For the primary finding, it was determined that for both high-performing and low-performing students, LMS is perceived as a supplementing tool for their academic performance overall. Wherein it was through its online characteristic that many of them have favored such but not exceedingly so that it should be independent of classroom-based teaching. This was because students also preferred social engagements as the study and from what was interpreted, the physical ability of their mentors and co-students is vital as they continuously learn. And for the concluding result, it was determined that the benefits LMS presents are the factors that the students have attributed in mentioning how such technology could greatly pave the way to how improvements in their study habits have begun. Such findings pose possibilities of reformation not only in the context of pedagogical strategies currently exercised but also for the augmentation of a software-integrated learning space.
