High School Department
IMC Clientele
All duly enrolled high school students of the Holy Family Academy are issued an IMC ID which serves as their pass for the use of the library and all its resources. The NO IMC ID, NO ENTRY policy applies the whole academic year.​
The IMC ID must bear the signature of the student/owner the High School librarian.
The owner of the IMC ID is entitled to use the library of Holy Family Academy and is responsible for all the books issued under his/her name.
A lost IMC ID may be replaced for a fee.
The High School IMC is open on weekdays and Saturday mornings.
- Monday – Friday > 7:00AM – 5:00PM
- Saturdays > 7:00AM-11:30 am

- THE IMC IS A PLACE FOR QUIET STUDY AND RESEARCH. SILENCE SHOULD BE OBSERVED IN THE IMC OUT OF CONSIDERATION FOR OTHERS. Repeated violation of this policy of silence is subject to forfeiture of IMC privileges or suspension, which will be based upon the recommendation of the IMC Coordinator and the Coordinator of the Student Services and Formation (CSSF).
- Eating, sleeping, chatting, doing industrial arts, and other related projects inside the library are prohibited.
- Before entering the IMC premises, leave bags, envelopes, folder, etc. at the depository shelves outside the IMC
- All IMC materials taken out must be presented to the authorized library personnel at the control desk for inspection.
- Taking care of the IMC property is expected from all students and users. The deliberate act of defacement is subject to appropriate sanction.
- Borrowers are held responsible for all books and materials signed under their name. They will be required to pay the full cost of replacement of damaged or lost books and other reference materials.
- Borrowed books/ materials may not be passed from the original borrower to another student or user. These must first be returned to the IMC and then charge out to the other borrowers.
- Using other IMC ID in entering and borrowing books is strictly prohibited.
IMC Loans
- Students may borrow four (4) circulation books for 3 days. These books are subject to renewal if not requested by another student/user.
- Two (2) fiction books may be borrowed for one (1) week unless the books are in demand.
- One biography book may be borrowed overnight. It may be extended for another day depending on the availability of the book.
- Book in the reserved section may be borrowed overnight. The book may be taken out at dismissal time and returned at 7:00 AM the following day.
- Non-circulating and special collection materials are to be used only inside the IMC. These are encyclopedias, dictionaries, bound periodicals, and materials in the vertical /Information files.
- From time to time, notices will be sent to the students with overdue books and their names will be posted on the library bulletin board.
IMC Penalties
To ensure that students learn responsibility and consideration for the IMC users, the following penalties shall be imposed.
A fine of five pesos (₱5.00) a day (except Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays) shall be charged for overdue books.
Failure to observe IMC RULES AND REGULATIONS may disqualify a student from the use of the library.
IMC Loses and Damages
     Any books/materials lost or damaged have to be paid for. The IMC library may accept compensation, another copy of the same book or even another title provided it is considered useful to the library.
Internet Section Guidelines
- The internet Section is open Monday to Friday 8:00 AM- 4:40 PM and Saturdays 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM.
- The Internet use is strictly for RESEARCH PURPOSE ONLY. No IMC ID, No Internet Use is strictly implemented.
- To monitor the maximum use of the internet, students are required to log in and out in the log sheet provided. Those who are not logged in are not allowed in the area.
- Only one user is allowed per terminal at any time.
- User must log out five (5) minutes before the time to avoid being late for one’s next class
- Accessing pornographic and online gambling sites is strictly prohibited. Other prohibition includes:
- No online games allowed (playing, accessing, and downloading of Demo/ Trial/Shareware Games)
- No online chatting (messenger, instagram, twitter and other related online links), creating, opening, and sending of e-mail and other social networking sites.
- Use only multimedia CDs from the Library. No other CD’s /CD – ROM discs may be used.
- No documents should be saved on the Hard Disk (Drive C). All saved documents will be automatically deleted by the IMC Assistant for internet at the end of the day.
- Use only a flash drive / USB in saving documents and files.
- Strictly NO HANDS-ON or ENCODING of assignments/homework and projects.
- Printing is allowed but with corresponding printing fee(s).

Users of the Non-Print Materials
- The use of audio-visual equipment and facilities is restricted to school personnel, faculty members, and students for educational activities.
- The person(s) who applied for a permit to use AV equipment shall assume full responsibility for the equipment and other facilities in the AV room (chairs, tables, curtains, blackboard, etc.)
The Use of Non-Print materials
Borrower(s) must see the AVC-in-charge for borrowing and making a reservation.
Borrower(s) must fill out the borrower’s form.
The fine for late returned materials/equipment is Php 5.00 per day. In addition, once anything borrowed is overdue, the student will lose his/her check-out privileges until the item is returned.
A lost/damaged item must be repaired or replaced with the same item. In addition, the borrower must pay the fine.
Students are allowed to check out AV equipment with the consent of the subject teacher/adviser/moderator.
The borrower is required to leave his/her school ID, thus, he/she will be given a Temporary ID.
All materials borrowed from the AVR are the responsibility of the borrower and should be returned immediately after use.
For safety purposes, laptop, LCD projectors, and other electronic equipment may not be lent to students
A film may be viewed only after it was approved by the subject area coordinator.
The Use of the Audio-Visual Room
Students are NOT allowed to use any of the viewing rooms without the permission and supervision of the subject teacher/adviser/ moderator. The reservation of the AV Rooms is done by the subject teacher/adviser/moderator.
Students/groups are held responsible for any damage and pay for the cost incurred of AV materials used during the activity.
Students are allowed to unplug any equipment/gadgets at the end of the class with the supervision of the teacher.
