National Book Week 2024

In effect of Proclamation No. 109, s. 1936, the week of 24-30 November of each year was declared “National Book Week”. With the leadership of the Philippine Librarians Association Inc., the National Library of the Philippines (NLP), and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts – National Committee on Libraries and Information Services (NCCA-NCLIS), the chosen theme of this year’s celebration will be “Magbasa, Mangarap, Magdiwang”

The chosen theme reflects the value of books and reading for the betterment of the nation and our future.

Through reading materials especially locally published, everyone will get to know more of their Filipino identity and how they can shape themselves for the future of their beloved nation. The weeklong celebration will showcase the vast value of reading in every Filipino’s life with the help of active publishing, writers, libraries, and librarians.

As a participation in this celebration, the HFA IMC has prepared activities and contests that aim to convey the values of this national celebration to their students.
