Book Week Celebration (January 24-28 2022)
The Tell in Tandem: Book-Based Interactive Storytelling Contest aims to provide an opportunity for the Filipino family to develop the love of books and reading and enhance their presentation and communication skills through tandem storytelling.
Mechanics:
- The contest is open to all bona fide HFA Grade 7 students.
- There must be one representative for each class.
- All prospective contestants shall register online at HFA IMC websites for proper monitoring/supervision on the conduct of the contest.
- The entry shall be tandem storytelling performed by a Parent (Mother, Father or Guardian) and his/her child. Only two members of the family are allowed to participate and one (1) entry is allowed per family.
- Entry must be a storytelling video and must be told in English.
- Any storybook of their choice. The book must be featured in the video. The storytellers shall mention the title, author, illustrator, and publisher of the book.
- The use of props, costumes, graphics, and video editing applications are allowed.
- The video must not exceed 8 minutes and must be submitted in mp4 format with a 720p resolution.
- The video’s first public showing/viewing shall be at the Book week culminating activity. The video should not have been previously seen by any member of the public.
- Artists retain the copyright of their work.
- Entry should be submitted to respective IMC personnel via email submission. Submission of entries is extended until February 03, 2022, Thursday, 5:00 pm.
- All winning entries will be posted on the social media accounts of the IMC (e.g. FB, website, etc.).
- Announcements of winners will be during the Virtual Culminating Activity of the Book Week Celebration on February 11, 2022, Friday.
Criteria for Judging
The criteria for judging will be as follows:
- Criteria Description Percentage Storytelling Technique The storytelling should have voice projection, animated actions, and interaction
- Creativity and visual presentation Adherence to the technical requirements and contain elements that are creatively and correctly used (i.e. text, illustrations, etc.)
- Synchronization Chorus lines are delivered as if talking to the audience; same eagerness; same movements or choreography

AWARD
There will be three (3) winners of this contest and they will receive the following:
● 1st Prize – P500.00 and an E- Certificate of Recognition
● 2nd Prize – P300.00 and an E- Certificate of Recognition
● 3rd Prize – P200.00 and an E-Certificate of Recognition
