The study revolves around possible solutions to waste management concerns through the development of BRAIN, an innovative bin system that segregates RFID technology and a spreadsheet system for monitoring accurate waste scanning, segregation, and monitoring. The research employs a developmental design to evaluate the BRAIN prototype. The system logs data and transmits it to waste representatives. Participants include one randomly selected Grade 11 student per section at Holy Family Academy and six experts in programming and waste management. Results indicate no significant differences in segregation accuracy across Metal, Wet, and Dry bins. Furthermore, there are no significant disparities between end-user and expert evaluations regarding functionality, user-friendliness, and consistency. Both groups express satisfaction with the system’s performance. The findings suggest future researchers prioritize established, well-known materials to mitigate potential innovation issues. This research contributes to the school community’s well-being by facilitating efficient waste segregation, thereby simplifying the identification of reusable and disposable materials. The system’s successful implementation demonstrates the potential of integrated technology to enhance waste management practices within educational environments.
