Water alarms, also referred to as water level detectors, are a type of innovative technology that can assist society in preserving water (Chapman et al., 2022). With this, the study performed an experimental approach to create a water alarm in which Blynk, an IoT platform, is integrated to provide real-time monitoring and alerts. To enhance the depth of interpretation, weighted means are applied, assigning different weights to responses based on their significance, as suggested by Fu and Wang (2013). The application of ANOVA in hypothesis testing facilitated a rigorous examination of the survey data, enabling evidence-based conclusions regarding the impact of water alarms on water conservation and scarcity mitigation. The result of the study showed that the technological features that were implemented was making a new set of code due to existing programs or codes that have not been updated leading to errors within the code during testing phase, the cost-effective methods that were used were using microcontrollers to have a small and inexpensive known as ESP8266. The model has effectively notified the user regardless of their location within the house through the IoT platform, as long as the user was within the Wi-Fi range the model, the product can read the water levels.
