The paper talks about the risks of benzene emissions to the well-being of every individual exposed to this. Several researchers have identified that when cars are exposed to extreme heat, the interior of the vehicle will emit benzene thus, making it a threat to car users. Since a lot of people own or ride vehicles from time to time, it was the chosen location for the experiment. For this reason, the researchers thought of a way that would lessen or hopefully eliminate benzene. There are three variables that were tested during the experiment and these were activated charcoal, snake plant, and rice husk. The researchers predicted that the activated charcoal would be the most effective reducer of benzene due to the previous research and positive feedback about the substance. To perform the experiment, cars were exposed to the sun for it to be able to emit benzene. After reaching the accepted temperature, the three variables were separately tested to find out which would be the most effective one. The experiment proved that the hypothesis was correct about the activated charcoal while the rice husk was the least effective.
