In the Philippines, hazardous waste still imposes a threat, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, wherein the usage of chemical products are highly advisable for sanitary purposes. One of the most critical ways of ensuring a clean and stable environment is the process and methods that constitute the whole aspect of hazardous waste management, including storing, treatment, and disposal of wastes that are considered hazardous. Improper storage and disposal of chemical products and radioactive waste may have adverse repercussions for the community’s ecosystem as well as its residents. In comparison to when institutions and individuals possess adequate knowledge of the appropriate and strategies for coping with the varieties of waste mentioned earlier above, this leads to safer circumstances and conditions for all. In this study, the researchers have observed the awareness and effectiveness of hazardous waste management of Grade 11 students in their respective environment. This aids to analyze safety measures being followed and also protocols being malpractice. Furthermore, the end goal of this paper is to identify which areas to improve in the discussion of disposal management. Additionally, this research will be beneficial for people living in communities to have awareness and knowledge about proper hazardous waste management. Based on the data analysis, grade 11 students are aware and know the practices of proper waste disposal, especially in their households or communities.
