Collaborative learning is a strategy of teaching in which two or more people try to achieve a common goal in learning. Collaborative learning was chosen as the focus because of its frequent use in Holy Family Academy. This study aims to know if collaborative learning is beneficial to students or not, to know their opinions, and to unravel the reason why there are still various perspective that are evident concerning collaborative learning. The researchers used phenomenological design to know the experiences and opinions of students on this phenomenon (Collaborative learning\/ group works) and conducted interviews to eight randomly chosen participants, from the grade 10 of Holy Family Academy who are not new comers due to the fact that one limitation of our research is that the opinions of the students about group works should only come from thier experiences on group works conducted only inside Holy Family Academy. After this interviews and transcriptions of data, it was found out that most of the respondents have positive notions and show preference to collaborate learning because of its positive effects like sharing prior knowledge that implies that this learning strategy is beneficial, but there are some who still preferred individual works because they said that if a particular factor is not met in a group work, difficulty will arise which can take a lot of time to finish and can downgrade the quality of the output which means taht ther are still mixed thoughts about collaborative learning.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","format":"standard","class_list":["post-52114","tnc_col_5153_item","type-tnc_col_5153_item","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","entry"],"yoast_head":"\n
