Yearly, student-athletes generally face sets of difficulties and adaptation. They are forced to perform on schedules with the restricted time they possess. These learners grasp a lot of responsibilities to fulfill with 20 hours per week of practice and games – including the standard academic requirements of any other learner. In the Philippines, student-athletes are compelled to attain and sustain a particular general weighted average to be eligible for engagement and participation in a sport-related competition. The said regulation is identical to the guidelines of Holy Family Academy, in which athletes are required to pass their scholastics for them to be granted a part in sports competitions. The current research will serve as a guide to help people understand the hardships that student-athletes undergo and will be able to know the adjustments that these learners need. This can also be considered as a guide to order athletes as they can take a grip of new learning and ways to cope with their academics whereas they miss a lot of school work during their competition and training. To achieve a better version of an athlete, one should be motivated to execute what it takes to heighten his capacity and attain his goals. Motivation is the foundation of all athletic efforts and fulfillment. It is a way for student-athletes to outstand while being on the field as proved by their proficiencies to compete at the optimal level. Thus, the study aims to determine and examine the students-athletes helpful ways and motivation in balancing their two tremendous roles. The paper will also explore the factors which affect their motivations in fulfilling the obligations that they possess due to their academic and athletic roles. Phenomenology design is followed by the current study and the researchers came up with their open-ended interview questionnaire for them to e able to gather the data that they need. The respondents of the present study are the 11th-grade Senior High Schook students-athletes of Holy Family Academy.
