Fear of public speaking or stage fright is a nervous feeling gelt by someone who is going to appear in front of an audience. It is stated as a stressful event, yet unavoidable. Audience expectations, audience size, type of audience, and negative evaluations are some of the causes that trigger the fear of public speaking. Physical manifestations are easily shown during performances such as sweaty and cold hands, stuttering, shaking loss of words, diarrhea, and the like. Lack of self-confidence and self-esteem also contribute to this social phobia. Past experiences greatly affect their nervousness leading to this anxiety. However, this anxiety doesn’t have the same effects depending on the number of times they experienced such instances.
